Biodata of Dr. P. Shinoj
|
Dr. P. Shinoj (Born in 1980) joined NCAP as a
scientist in October, 2007. Shinoj graduated from
Kerala Agricultural University in the year 2001 and is the recipient of
KAU merit scholarship for excellence in academics. Shinoj
completed M.Sc. and Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Indian Agricultural
Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi in the year 2004 and 2007 respectively. His
area of specialization is agricultural marketing and international trade. Dr. Shinoj belongs to the 2005 batch of ARS and was presented
the ‘Best Trainee Award’ from National Academy of Agricultural Research
Management (NAARM), Hyderabad in 2007 for his outstanding performance in
academic and extra curricular activities. Dr. Shinoj
had been a visiting scholar at Department of Applied Economics and Management,
Cornell University, New York and at Food and Agricultural Policy Research
Institute (FAPRI), Iowa State University, Ames, United States. Besides this,
Dr. Shinoj had also been consultant to SAARC Agricultural
Centre (SAC), Dhaka, Bangladesh and National Agricultural
Cooperative Marketing Federation (NAFED), New Delhi. Shinoj has so far published 13 research papers in journals
of national repute, in addition to several popular articles and papers presented
in various national/international conference/seminars/workshops/symposia. |
