Dr.  Harbir Singh

 

Dr. Harbir Singh (b. 1966) is Senior Scientist (Agricultural Economics). Before joining NCAP, he worked as Consultant Economist (Monitoring & Evaluation) for the European Commission-funded water resources development project –Sidhmukh & Nohar Irrigation Project (SNIP) – in Rajasthan for two years. He is life member of the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, Indian Science Congress Association and Agricultural Economics Research Association. He has completed in-house as well as externally funded research projects and published research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals. He has studied socio-economic and policy issues in crops, livestock and fishery sectors. His current professional interests are: technology policy issues in seed system development and innovations in seed delivery; supply chain in agriculture and implications of IPRs for access to plant genetic resources.
