Dr. Anjani Kumar
|
Dr. Anjani Kumar (Born in November 14, 1969) is a Senior Agricultural Economist
at the National Centre for Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NCAP),
New Delhi. He has also served as Senior Agricultural Economist in the Asia
Office of International Livestock Research Institute, Nairobi. He has led a
number of research projects of national and international importance. His work
includes: trade liberalization and its impact on livestock and fisheries; food
safety issues and their implications; cost of compliance of food safety
measures, technological change and agricultural growth. He has made important
contributions to agricultural economics and policy research and his findings
have been widely used by policy makers, planners and experts. In recognition of
his outstanding contribution to social science research, he has conferred with
Lal Bahadur Young Scientist Award (Biennium 2003-04) and NAAS Young Scientist
Award (Biennium 2001-02). Besides, he received several awards for his scholarly
research works. He has been nominated as NAAS Associate Fellow w.e.f. 1 January
2008./span>
